ALPSP Training Course: Licensing your Content - 01 Jul 2015
Licensing content has rapidly become a key component of the academic publishing environment, but why is this needed and what are the practicalities? What are the key issues to be aware of and consider when negotiating a licence? This course will outline the development of licensing on various platforms including print and online (to include all mobile devices). It will cover current issues around open access and the use of Creative Commons licences, and demonstrate how it relates in reality to the growing range of licence arrangements that are now available for all content.

ICSTI 2015 General Assembly & Workshops - 04 Jul 2015
ICSTI has announced that its 2015 General Assembly & Workshops will take place on 4 July in Hannover, Germany at the Hannover Congress Centre. The event will be held in co-location with the 36th Conference of the International Association of University Libraries (IATUL), an Associate Member of ICSTI, organised on 5-9 July under the heading 'Strategic Partnerships for Access and Discovery'.

The ICSTI General Assembly meeting will be composed of member-only sessions devoted to ICSTI administrative affairs and will also present two workshops organised by the Information Trends and Opportunities Committee (ITOC) and the Technical Activities Coordinating Committee (TACC). Both workshops will be open to non-ICSTI delegates. Join us for two exciting and thought-provoking sessions gathering a panel of international experts who will address the themes of Open Science and Open Data and Innovation.
