2016 SSP 38th Annual Meeting - 01 Jun 2016
Crossing Boundaries: New Horizons in Scholarly Communication has been revealed as the theme of the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s 38th Annual Meeting, to be held June 1-3, 2016 in Vancouver. Proposals are encouraged from and for all types of stakeholders in scholarly communications, whether your institution is large or small, nonprofit or commercial, focused on books or journals, or specialising in STEM or the Humanities and Social Sciences. To go along with the ‘Crossing Boundaries’ theme, seven tracks have been proposed for the Annual Meeting including Globalisation, Ethics, Business Strategy, Marketing/Product Development, People in Publishing, Technology, and Meet with the [Researcher/Librarian/Publisher/Funder].

ALPSP Training Course: Introduction to People Management for Publishing - 15 Jun 2016
The first step in people management is often reported as the most challenging. This course aims to give newly appointed managers and those in their first year of managing one or two staff the core knowledge and basic tools to make it a truly rewarding experience.
